FRENCH TOAST & TULIPS

Having been in much need of a day out, we thought: what better way to catch up than over breakfast and tulips? We started our day at the Wooden Spoon in White Rock, which was absolutely delicious. The little restaurant was completely packed, and for good reason. The coffee, which perked at the table, was amazing, and the food was absolutely delicious. The breakfast poutine was HUGE but so worth it. Whoever came up with that meal is my new best friend. They also have two different french toast selections: the Nana-tella Stuffed French Toast and the Sweet and Salty (which is the one I get it every time). If you're looking for something sweet but savoury you'll love it, ask for extra syrup if you want it to be a bit sweeter.

After filling ourselves up on breakfast, we headed out to Abbotsford to check out the Tulip Festival. Although the ground was pretty squishy as a result of the recent rain (wear boots if y'all go, you'll need them), the trip out to Abbotsford was totally worth it. We went on a weekday, so entry was $8 (as opposed to $25 on the weekends) and the view was to die for. To bring flowers home: $1/stem if you picked your own, or $5 for a bouquet of 10 that haven't bloomed yet (these also last longer).
